Propel Fremantle
Propel Fremantle is a collaborative initiative designed to strengthen and showcase Fremantle’s innovation ecosystem.
Coordinated by the City of Fremantle, Propel Fremantle brings together local business leaders, entrepreneurs and industry experts to connect innovators with the resources, funding and networks they need to grow.
The initiative focuses on leveraging Fremantle’s unique advantages, its proximity to major industrial precincts, its creative and cultural energy, and its strong sense of community, to build a more resilient, future-focused local economy.
Propel Fremantle is supported by steering committee who play an active role in mentoring, advising, and connecting startups and small businesses. These include:

Propel Fremantle Accelerator Fund
One of the key programs delivered under the initiative the Accelerator Fund identifies and supports early-stage ventures with the potential to contribute to Fremantle’s innovation economy.
Coordinated by the steering committee and funded by Spacecubed, Lotterywest, and the City of Fremantle, the program offers tailored resource, from co-working spaces and mentoring to market analysis and expert guidance for ventures across Fremantle’s key growth sectors:
- Blue Economy
- Sustainability
- Immersive and Creative Technology
Tailored Support
Every participant undertakes a diagnostic process to identify their specific needs. This ensures the support provided is targeted and impactful, covering:
- Mentoring and coaching from experienced industry leaders
- Subsidised professional services including legal, financial, and IP support
- Co-working space in Fremantle, fostering collaboration and visibility
- Access to networks and memberships across WA’s innovation ecosystem
