EOI Open for Fremantle's Manjaree Precinct

The City of Fremantle is inviting artists, creative practitioners, cultural organisations and place-makers to help shape the future of the Manjaree Precinct, with Expressions of Interest (EOIs) now open for a unique waterfront activation opportunity.

As the first stage in the precinct's revitalisation, the City is seeking proposals for the lease of four spaces within the iconic J-Shed building, alongside opportunities to activate the surrounding public realm. The initiative aims to foster vibrant arts and cultural experiences that celebrate the distinctive character of Manjaree and Walyalup/Fremantle while attracting visitors and strengthening the local creative economy.

The City is encouraging applications from individuals, collectives and organisations with bold ideas that create meaningful connections between people and place. Proposals should deliver engaging experiences for residents and visitors alike, contributing to a dynamic and welcoming destination on Fremantle's waterfront.

This represents a rare opportunity for creatives and cultural enterprises at all stages of their journey, from emerging practitioners looking to test new concepts through to established organisations seeking a long-term presence within one of Fremantle's most significant cultural precincts. Successful applicants will become part of a growing creative community and benefit from the City's ongoing commitment to supporting the establishment and development of cultural activity within the precinct.

The Manjaree Precinct project reflects the City's broader vision to strengthen Fremantle's position as a leading cultural destination by creating spaces that support artistic practice, innovation and community connection.
